It's 12am, I'm curled up on my bed with my laptop, in my Victoria's Secret PJs, watching Xena and crying my eyes out. I've never felt more like a stereotypical girl in my life. haha

I've been in a baking mood lately. Right now I'm waiting for my sugar cookie dough to chill so I can make Cinnamon Sugar Pinwheels. Yum. :3

I've also been watching the first season of Xena: Warrior Princess. xD It's not that bad actually. It makes me cringe sometimes - mostly because of the dialogue - but it's usually fun in a cracky way. haha I WANT GIFS FROM IT. Seriously. It's annoying that I can't make gifs. -__-

LOL I MET A FANGIRL AT A MILLS COLLEGE TOUR. I was kind of lost looking for a class I was going to sit in on, and these two girls came up to me asking if i needed help. One of them was cutting class so she offered to show me the way. She mentioned she had a Wacom tablet, we got to talking about drawing using it, she mentioned fanart, and then we were both like OH HEY FANDOM HELL YEAH. xD She was into slash, too, though we didn't have time to go compare our fandoms. :C It was cool. :> I sat in on an Advanced Painting class. GOSH, I really want to learn to paint. ;; I got to see some great projects.

I have been on a WHY ART CLASS WHYYY stint lately. =/ I just...don't really like art classes. I mean I love having that opportunity to learn different techniques & mediums and stuff but I feel like art classes are so...restrictive. :< Like, it's really annoying to finish a project and to feel really good about it, and then get it back with notes about what parts the teacher thinks you need to develop more. I mean, it's not like I'm this AMAZING ARTIST OMG and I feel like I don't need to work on anything but........well, I guess I'm touchy where my art is concerned. I think everyone is to some degree, right.....? haha I should probably learn to ignore that part of myself, huh? Eh, whatever. It's just a class, I'M OK. :P

Have you guys noticed I'm really bad at keeping a journal? :D;; haha Anyway, a lot has happened since I last posted.

I've almost finished everything pertaining to TOS. I've just got one more movie left. I have to say, STAR TREK = GAYEST FRANCHISE EVER. ♥ I mean, the show was kind of subtle about it but the movies? If you have seen them and don't know whose relationship I'm talking about, you are blind. I just recently saw The Final Frontier and the end! After Kirk thinks he was going to die, when he sees Spock he grasps both his arms and starts leaning into him (lol I'm not sure if he was gonna hug him or snuggle into his chest, seriously.) but Spock stops him and says "Not in front of the Klingons." KBDFSERTOIKNHFh, WHAT? I mean, come on! He's telling Kirk to wait till later where they'll have more privacy. ;)

I GOT A JOB! WHOOOOOOO~ I help tidy up JCPenney near the end of the day. It's sort of tedious and surprisingly strenuous but I'm happy with it. :) I'll get my first paycheck this Friday. :DD Also, employee discount, whoooo. :3

I'm fostering two kittens right now. :> One of them is with me because she's timid and the second is just here so the other will have a friend to help her out of her shell. God, I forgot how ridiculously cute kittens are. I want to keep them. ;; That'll never happen, but a girl can dream. >___>

I'm watching "Hitch" for, like, the 50 millionth time. The first 3/4th of the move is nice and I always enjoy it. But it really goes downhill for me when Sarah prints the articled about Hitch being the Date Doctor. I stop liking her. Especially since she's a TABLOID JOURNALIST. I mean, what? She's ragging on his job? /random rant

Also, Hawaii is awesome. :D The scenery is so gorgeous. The only thing is that I burn easily. Yeaaahhhh. Going somewhere like Hawaii isn't the best idea when that's the case but whatever. xD Yesterday, we went to a mall and it had a pet store in it. They had puppies!! They were sooooo adorable. ;; God, I'm going to need to live on a farm when I grow up or something, with my penchant for tons of animals. :P

I didn't get the job I applied for. :C Which sucks, but not end-of-the-world levels of suck so whatev.

ALSO tomorrow I am leaving for Hawaii. :D I'm going to be gone until the 22nd. My family and I are going to the big island and Oahu. I'm excited but at the same time, not. :< Mostly 'cause I'm not a fan of airplane trips. I'm bringing my laptop, though, so YAY.

....except not really. xD So, yes, here's some pictures of my new 13 year old dog. His name is Jamie. :3

Woooooow. Totally forgot to post about some major things. Firstly, I GOT A LAPTOP WHOOOOOO. Sorry, I'm still very excited about it even though I got it two weeks ago. It's a Sony Vaio: 15.4" screen, 250 GB hard drive, 3 GB memory in white. GUH it is my baby now, no joke. Now, 250 GB is way too little for the amount of stuff I save so I have an external hard drive, as well. It's really nice to have the majority of my content not on the main disk, slowing my processing speed. ♥

Secondly, I GOT ANOTHER DOG WHOOOOO. lol *ahem* That brings the total animals to three dogs, four cats. DAMN. Anyway, I happened to walk this dog at the shelter and he was so sweet and cute and loving that I just couldn't pass up the chance. He's also 13 which means he'd have a lower chance of getting adopted. But he's really sweet and easy going and HYPER for a dog his age, my goodness. I'll try and take some pictures of him tomorrow. The shelter had him marked as a terrier mix but he's bigger than the usual size of terriers, I think. He looks a bit like a fox, too. It's really cute.

Thirdly, I HAD MY FIRST EVER JOB INTERVIEW TODAY AHHHHHH. I was totally nervous but I think it went OK. I applied for a job at Petco. It'd be really nice if I got the job since I need the money/experience and the store is seriously like three minutes from my house. I'll know in about two days, though. *crosses fingers*

OK, seriously, how did I go almost 19 years without getting into Kirk/Spock? Like, I don't know why but after seeing the new movie a couple of weeks ago it just jump-started my interest and I downloaded the original series. I didn't even make it through 10 episodes before I started hunting for fic. xD I like reading, OK? :P

I really like the original series even though it's sort of corny and old fashioned. It's a lot of fun to watch. God, I was so excited when I saw there were so many episodes. :D I had been looking for something to watch, actually, since I finished going through the MST3K episodes. So, yeah, I haven't been on much 'cause I've been spending most of my time watching Star Trek, >____>

Long time no see. Or, well, talk......*ahem* Anyway, I haven't really been paying attention to LJ much for the past couple of weeks. I've been having some personal issues which I'm working on. My school work has suffered a lot because of it and I ended up having to drop Japanese. So, I have two classes which I'm working on getting my grades up in. That's stressing me out and it's really not helpful to my state of being right now, but my parents are being very supportive and I'm starting to feel better about it. Suffice to say, it's probably going to take an extra semester to get all the credits I need for transfer. However, I've got two more weeks of school and then I have the whole summer to focus on myself so I'm feeling pretty good right now. :)

I don't think I wrote about this, but my best friend moved away earlier this year. I'm not the most social person, and as such, she's one of the few people I hang out with. I've missed her dearly. About two weeks ago, though, I drove up to see her. :3 That was a first for me in many ways, actually. It takes about three hours to get to her and I've never driven for that long before. I've still got a bit of a cramp in my foot. xD Also, I'm not used to going on trips by myself. I'm really glad I went to see her though. It was sort of a growing experience for me as well as a chance to see my friend. C: She lives in this lovely area as well, totally surround by nature. It was gorgeous and I had a great time taking photos of the scenery.

A lot of people have been on about Dreamwidth while I was away. Who on my flist has an account? Do you guys like it? Anyone have an invite code I could use? :B

New "Protect Marriage" ad.

This ad makes me so angry. Gay marriage is a frightening storm? Seriously?! I'm also tired of hearing them spout the same things in every freakin' ad. The one that angers me the most is the one about how it'll be taught in schools. OH NOES, CHILDREN WILL LEARN IT'S OK TO BE GAY AND MARRY THE PERSON THEY LOVE! WE CERTAINLY CAN'T HAVE THAT!!!

Well, I had an interesting day today. :D It was my first day volunteering and I may have gotten a little lost...

( Cut 'cause this will probably be long )

I got a call from the animal shelter and I'm going to start this Friday from 1-5. :D Unfortunately, I get really nervous when I'm talking on the phone so I didn't realize she hasn't told me what my job is until after she hung up. >__> Oh, well. I'll find out when I get there. The first time is just going to be a training session, anyway.

I got my Mom hooked on Merlin. >D My brother's started watching it with me, too. I also decided the extras were worth it and ordered the DVDs from Amazon UK. I'm looking forward to being able to watch the episodes on the big screen, too. :}

I have a new Merlin moodtheme courtesy of wikked_angel_78. There is a possibility that I just spent an inordinate amount of time selecting my mood. :D;;

OMG. My mom is hilariously silly sometimes. A telemarketer just called, speaking English of course, and my mom goes "No-No hablo espanol!" and hangs up on him. xD My brother and I cracked up so bad.

Ooooooooh, my god. I love Merlin so much. A couple of days ago I downloaded the first season and I finished it today. I just- ♥♥. I totally fell in love with Arthur/Merlin. Like, I couldn't even finish the whole season before I went looking for fic.

I went from 5 classes to 3 in the last couple of weeks. :< At first, I dropped a class to make room for my Japanese class because it ended up being at a different time then I expected. Then, I ended up really disliking my Anthro class to the point where I couldn't muster enough guilt to even go to the class. It sounded so awesome when I signed up; "Magic, Witchcraft and religion" is what it's called. The problem was, that it turned out being more like "RELIGION with some magic/spirituality." I took a religions class in high school and that's about the limit for me. :P

I did, however, find something to do with the free time I now have. I applied to volunteer at the local animal shelter. :} Yesterday, I went to the orientation and filled out the form outlining what I want to do there. I'm hoping to either be a cat socializer or dog companion. Both are similar in that you spend time with the animals, though, you have to walk the dogs, as well. I'll get a call in the next week or two about whether or not they need me. So, until then...I'm enjoying having nothing to do. xD
